LA Chargers: 3 possible defensive free agents to sign

Potential LA Chargers free-agent targets: Xavier Woods
Rayshawn Jenkins was pretty consistent on this Chargers’ defense this last season. The only reason I could see the Chargers not sign him would be because of the cap space problem. One underrated player that could pair with Derwin James next season could be Xavier Woods from the Cowboys.
Throughout his four seasons with the Cowboys, Woods has 5 interceptions, 18 pass deflections, 3 forced fumbles, and 247 total tackles. In his last three seasons, he’s also started in more than 80% of the Cowboys’ total snaps.
The only problem with Xavier Woods could be that he might want a lot of money since he’s been a consistent starter for the Cowboys.
Though the same could be said for Rayshawn as well since he started in almost every snap the last two seasons. Rayshawn also is more familiar with the Chargers’ defensive system, but might not matter if the Chargers part ways with Gus Bradley.
Overall, if the Chargers don’t see a future with Rayshawn, I think Xavier Woods could come in and have the same production value.

Though at the end of the day, the value of both of these safeties could come down to who the Chargers value more.
