The LA Chargers could look to add to the defense in free agency this offseason.
The LA Chargers had an interesting season, to say the least. Now that the Chargers have an early start to the offseason, they have two huge things to think about and decide over the next couple of months. One of which is the signing of a new head coach and the other is figuring out which free agents they need to either re-sign or get from other teams.
The Chargers have a lot of free agents going into the 2021 season. In total, 29 players will hit the free agency market in the offseason. A good amount being on both sides of the ball, but a big amount being on the defensive side. Players like Melvin Ingram, Michael Davis, Denzel Perryman, Rayshawn Jenkins, etc.
The Chargers will have to decide to use most of their cap space to re-sign players and keep them on the roster, or sign new players to fill those holes.
Cap space will play a big part in the Chargers’ decisions as they may have to use most of it if they decide to re-sign a lot of their players. This article will take a look at some defensive free agents the Chargers could add to their 2021 roster this offseason.
