5. The LA Chargers ending the Las Vegas Raiders’ playoffs hopes on Thursday Night Football

On the last Thursday Night Football game of the 2018 season, the LA Chargers completed a tremendous two-touchdown comeback against the Kansas City Chiefs and sealed the deal with a two-point conversion for the win.

Two years later, the team had a walk-off touchdown as Justin Herbert leaped over into the pile and extended the pigskin into the endzone, yelling “I was in!” on the ground as hit teammates celebrated.

This was a big moment for multiple reasons. First of all, it was a win on national television for the Chargers and they effectively ended the Las Vegas Raiders’ playoff hopes. It is always a great thing to play spoiler to a division rival.

Justin Herbert obviously had the miraculous walk-off touchdown but he also tied the record for the most passing touchdowns in a season by a rookie quarterback. That would have been a moment on this list, but it wasn’t really a moment.

If the Chargers were in the thick of a playoff race then this would have been much closer to number one as it would have been a huge win. Instead, it was a really fun Thursday night in what was a bad season.
