3. Rayshawn Jenkins
The LA Chargers definitely have been hurt by injuries this season and the biggest injury loss on the team is Derwin James. James suffered a season-ending injury in training camp and the Chargers have had to improvise at the safety position since.
Most Charger fans were hopeful that the tandem of Rayshawn Jenkins and Nasir Adderley could take care of business and there probably are those fans that think they are doing a good job. In reality, they have not been and the safety position has been a hole for the Bolts.
Jenkins especially had higher expectations heading into the season. He was expected to start alongside James and our very own Tyler Gallagher even liked his chances of becoming a surprise Pro Bowler.
Unfortunately for Tyler, Jenkins has not been proving him right.
While Jenkins has shown flashes of that potential that leads to him getting overrated in the first place, he has been far too inconsistent both in pass coverage as well as tackling. The tackling efforts from Jenkins have been abysmal this season and that was on full display in Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jenkins has not been the breakout player that Charger fans were hoping he would be and some fans are still seemingly holding onto this hope despite Jenkins performing otherwise.
