2. Cardale Jones

We all know how loyal Anthony Lynn is to his guys and it has been a trend in the past for the Chargers to pursue former players when they need to fill depth in the roster (see Jahleel Addae, recently).

With that in mind, the quarterback that the Chargers might bring in to be the emergency option for a week or two very well could be a former Charger in Cardale Jones. Jones was not good while he was with the Chargers and Lynn gave him every chance to stick around, perhaps this could bring him back.

At least with Jones, he has athleticism that Bradford does not have and he has familiarity with the building. He also has more recent professional football experience as well, as he was the starting quarterback for the DC Defenders to start the season.

He did lose his job, but again, the Chargers are just bringing in someone to be an emergency option for a week or two. We do not have to nitpick how good Cardale Jones is.

He also has familiarity with quarterbacks coach Pep Hamilton, who was the head coach of the Defenders before joining the LA Chargers coaching staff for this season.

For familiarity alone, Jones is probably the front-runner if the Chargers do want to bring anyone in but Stick might be the more talented option.
