The LA Chargers may have solidified themselves as the second-best team in the AFC West.
In our AFC West recap last week we asked the question of how the LA Chargers compared to their peers in the division. After this week, and the team’s first game against a division foe this season, we are breaking down whether or not the team is the second-best team in the AFC West.
The best team is the Kansas City Chiefs, that is without question. The Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl Champions and have started 2-0 this season, including a win over the Chargers in Week 2.
However, the Chiefs looked very beatable in this game and the aura of them being this team that the Chargers cannot compete with should be wiped away. The defense had yet another great showing against one of the best offenses in football and the Chargers were a few bad coaching decisions away from winning.
The Chiefs are obviously still the best team in the AFC West but that gap is a lot smaller than it appeared to be last week — but has it shrunk enough for us to definitively call the Chargers the second-best team in the AFC West?
We know the Chiefs are a better all-around football team — let’s break down how the Denver Broncos and Las Vegas Raiders faired this week to get a better pulse on the division.
