3. Darius Bradwell

While we were talking about a back in Gabe Nabers it seemed fitting to transition to the other back that will likely be called up to the roster at some point this season, Darius Bradwell.

Bradwell is very obviously the RB4 on the LA Chargers, who are just deploying three running backs in Austin Ekeler, Justin Jackson and Joshua Kelley. Now, these three running backs are super talented and the team does not really need much running back help as a result.

However, this is football and with running backs taking the punishment that they do, especially considering Justin Jackson’s injury history, there is a fairly decent chance that one back gets banged up, either can’t play or is limited and the team calls up Bradwell for depth.

Bradwell has a lot of potential and he is someone that, as far as what we have seen on HBO’s Hard Knocks, the coaching staff likes. He did go into camp a bit overweight and he is a bit green as a professional but he has the potential to be yet another hidden gem running back that the Chargers found.

In his junior season at Tulane, Bradwell carried the ball 201 times for 1,134 yards and 11 touchdowns. Obviously, there is a big jump from Tulane to the NFL, but those are promising numbers nonetheless.
