The calendar has turned to September and that means we will get LA Chargers football this month.

This year has been a crazy one. Never has a year gone by so fast but yet so slow at the same time. Regardless, whether the Super Bowl feels like it was 10 years ago or two months ago we have arrived — it is September and that means that football is back.

The LA Chargers‘ first game of the season against first overall pick Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals will be on Sunday, September 13. That means, at the time of writing this, we only have 12 more days until Chargers football. 12. More. Days.

Training camp was going good for the most part despite all of the different regulations that the team had to adapt to. However, that changed with a pair of injuries: a shoulder strain for Mike Williams and a meniscus tear for Derwin James.

Williams, at the most, will miss a game or two, so that is manageable. James will miss the entire season with a 6-8 month recovery timeline. It is an absolutely heartbreaking loss for the team and we here at Bolt Beat send our best wishes to James during his recovery.

Instead of looking at the negative, though, we here at Bolt Beat want to look at the positives. Thus, to prepare Charger fans for some good ol’ September football, we decided to re-live the three best September wins for the team from the last decade.

Note: The LA Chargers’ 2010-2019 September record is 17-18.
