1. Derwin James

Derwin James has the best odds of any player to be an All-Pro this season and he is the only player on this list to have already been a first-team All-Pro, earning the honor in his rookie season, nonetheless.

James did not follow that up in his second season as he missed 11 games due to injury but when he was on the field he showed why he was an All-Pro in the first place. Now, completely healthy and with two years of experience under his belt, James is going to re-cement his place as the best safety in the league.

There is no safety that is as versatile as James is. James is an elite defensive player in coverage, in defending the run and in getting to the quarterback. He can play strong safety, slot corner, middle linebacker and even come off the edge as a pass-rusher.

I would argue that James is the best overall player on the LA Chargers and the scary thing for other teams is that he is only in his third season and has not even reached his prime.

As long as James stays healthy I would consider this almost a virtual lock. If he plays as good as he did in his rookie season then he is an All-Pro and chances are that he is going to play much better.
