LA Chargers 53-man roster prediction, quarterbacks and running backs:

  • Tyrod Taylor
  • Justin Herbert
  • Easton Stick

We should not really see any changes to the quarterback room during training camp. The Chargers have a nice trio of quarterbacks that all have their own specific purpose and it is hard to see there being any roster decision in that aspect.

Tyrod Taylor is slated to be the starter and even if he does horrible in camp the team is going to keep him around as a veteran presence. Justin Herbert is the sixth overall pick so that goes unsaid and Easton Stick is not going to be cut as it is valuable having that cushion of a third-string quarterback on the roster.

Stick getting cut is the only potential thing that could happen and I highly doubt it.

Running backs:

  • Austin Ekeler
  • Justin Jackson
  • Joshua Kelley
  • Bobby Holly

Austin Ekeler is finally getting his chance to be a legitimate RB1 with the real narrative of training camp at the running back position being who can win out between Justin Jackson and Joshua Kelley for the RB2 spot.

Both guys are safe from being cut even if they do not win the RB2 job and the team should add another running back in the fold as well in Bobby Holly. Fullbacks might not be as utilized anymore but the team still needs one, especially with the loss of Derek Watt in the offseason.

And I mean, c’mon, the guy is a beast.
