There are some great bargains on the LA Chargers roster in 2020.

You do not always need to spend big to get a solid player. Sometimes, you have the best quarterback in the league that is only 24 years old so you need to spend half a billion dollars on him. Other times, you land a solid role player for lower than the market value.

With Philip Rivers now gone, the LA Chargers do not have many large contracts on their payroll. However, that is set to change after the 2020 season, as several key members of the Chargers roster are going to be free agents.

As of right now, though, the Chargers are filled with moderate contracts which contain some fairly big bargains. That is a huge part of the recipe for success in the NFL — finding talent that can produce above their pay grade.

Today, we wanted to bring you the four players on the Chargers roster that best represent this bargain mindset, with one caveat: it cannot be a player on their rookie contract. Of course, guys like Derwin James or Joey Bosa are going to seem like a massive bargain when they are still playing on their first professional contract.

Without further ado, let’s hop into the four best bargains on the LA Chargers roster.
