From the Jacksonville Jaguars, the LA Chargers select…

D.J. Chark, WR

There are not many players that would be a good fit on the LA Chargers from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Josh Allen and Yannick Ngakoue would both be intriguing edge rushers to bring to LA but the Chargers do not need an edge rusher at the moment.

If Calais Campbell was still on the team then he would have been the perfect selection as the Chargers could use some more depth at defensive tackle. Campbell was traded to the Baltimore Ravens this offseason.

Myles Jack is an intriuging option because we have seen how good he is at his best but he was really bad last season, earning a PFF grade in the 40s.

That leaves us with only one realistic option: wide receiver D.J. Chark. Now, the Chargers are just fine at receiver, but adding Chark, especially with Watson at quarterback in this situation, would cement the Chargers as the best offensive team in football.

The Chargers would have three 1,000-yard receivers from a year ago. It could be a bit redundant with Chark and Mike Williams as they are both deep-threat targets but that is just fine for someone with a rocket arm like Watson.

Have Williams and Chark be the deep threats while Keenan Allen gets more time in the slot to carve defenders on short and medium routes. That is a recipe for success that would lead to a lot of points scored in SoFi Stadium.
