The LA Chargers host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14 of the 2020 NFL season.

The Atlanta Falcons are the last out-of-division team that the LA Chargers are going to play in 2020. The Bolts wrap up the 2020 season with three in-division games, two of which are on the road, which is going to make or break a potential playoff bid.

As the last out-of-division opponent, this is going to be the last 2020 opponent preview before we jump into the AFC West foes. We were saving the in-division opponents for last.

The Atlanta Falcons are one of the hardest teams in the league to gauge as they seem to either come out firing and are fantastic or are extremely disappointing and it really could go either way. They are similar to the LA Chargers in that regard and I don’t think it is crazy to say they are the NFC version of the Chargers.

Two teams that constantly have great rosters but shoot themselves in the foot and don’t live up to expectations. The similarities are striking.

The last time these two teams played was 2016 and the Chargers edged out a 33-30 overtime win in Atlanta. This snapped a six-game losing streak against the Falcons that dated back to 1988. The Chargers are 2-8 all-time against the Falcons.

As we have with all of the out-of-division opponents thus far, here is our early 2020 preview for the Falcons, including the team’s key additions and subtractions of the offense as well as how the Chargers can beat the team.
