LA Chargers steal free safety Justin Simmons, Denver Broncos

This pick would be the icing on the cake of an already loaded defense. Justin Simmons makes a great case for one of the top safeties in the league. Pairing him with superstar Derwin James would give the best secondary in football just another piece to make throwing the ball absolutely impossible.

Simmons put up absolutely incredible grades according to Pro Football Focus. He received a 91.1 coverage grade, a 90.2 tackling grade, an 86.1 run defense grade, and an overall grade of 90.8. This would put him up with those deemed elite by Pro Football Focus, and every time he steps onto the field, he shows you exactly why.

Justin Simmons is just 26 years old, and he would be an absolutely amazing addition to a young Chargers defense which will be terrorizing opposing teams for the next four to five years.

This past season, Simmons put up 93 total tackles, 15 pass defenses, and four interceptions helping the Denver Broncos perform well above their overall expectations. Adding him to the LA Chargers would most certainly put them back on track to meet the high expectations they seem to garner with one of the most talented rosters in the league as it stands right now.

With the league being dominated by quarterbacks today, an incredible secondary goes a long way towards creating a competitive team.

Those are the three players I would look to steal from each of our AFC West rivals. Patrick Mahomes, Henry Ruggs III and Justin Simmons are all players that would make an immediate impact on the LA Chargers. Do you agree? Let me know down below who you would take from each team in the division, and be on the lookout for the next part in the series.
