In the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the LA Chargers select: Keith Ismael, C, San Diego State

Keith Ismael was in another recent LA Chargers mock draft that we did and here he makes it in the best-case scenario mock draft as he would be an excellent late-round selection that has the potential to make a difference on the roster.

Right away, he would be nothing more than a needed depth piece for the interior of the Chargers offensive line. However, he has the potential to step up if needed and could eventually transition into a prominent role on the offensive line.

He is athletic and has great hands and footwork at the position. He can play both center and guard and would be a crucial depth piece on the Chargers roster.

In the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the LA Chargers select: Shaquille Waterman, LB, Miami

Shaquille Waterman has some holes in his game but would be a great late-round selection for the team that could be a rotational backer right away, getting playing time in certain situations.

He is not good in pass coverage and is not the most athletic or biggest linebacker but he is an excellent tackler that thrived in plugging running lanes and getting to the ball carrier.

Next. Looking at tight end options beyond 2020

He could be someone who the Chargers rotationally use in running downs and if they can add better pass coverage to his skill set then he could get more playing time down the line.
