Number 4

Teddy Bridgewater

Teddy Bridgewater has made his case to be the starter for an NFL franchise. He took over the New Orleans Saints as Brees got injured and won five games to keep them on track to make the playoffs and win the division.

In that short run, he threw for 1,384 yards, nine touchdowns and just two interceptions. Those are impressive numbers for what was considered to be a backup quarterback.  Not only that but before the gruesome injury that sidelined him for almost two years, people were calling him the future of the Minnesota Vikings.

Bridgewater has shown that he can lead a playoff-caliber team, so the Chargers would be foolish to not consider Bridgewater as a potential franchise quarterback candidate.

The Chargers and the Saints are very comparable teams, if not the Chargers weigh out a little bit stronger. With a reliable No. 1 and No. 2 option and also a tight end and strong receiving back, Bridgewater should have no problem fitting in.

Likeliness – 6

Potential Fit – A-
