Chargers: 3 times team has rallied to make the playoffs

1995 Chargers
The Chargers were the defending AFC champions in 1995 and high expectations followed the team, but it went through a tough stretch following a 3-1 start to the season.
Starting with a 31-16 loss to the Steelers in Week 5, the Chargers lost six of seven games and were 4-7 and the division title was out of reach as the Chiefs were one of the best teams in the league that season.
But the Chargers then went on a run.
They were able to defeat the Raiders, a team they lost to in the season opener, by a score of 12-6 in Week 13. They then smashed the Cleveland Browns 31-13 before beating the Arizona Cardinals by three points.
However, at 7-7, the Chargers were facing back-to-back road games against the Colts and New York Giants to close the season. They were able to win both of those games and qualified for the playoffs with a 9-7 record, ending the season on a five-game winning streak.
Unfortunately, the Chargers drew the Colts in the Wild Card round and Jim Harbaugh led the Colts to a big win and nearly took that team to the Super Bowl. Following that loss, it took the Chargers nine seasons to get back to the playoffs.
