5 things Los Angeles Chargers fans might say

“When will they move back to San Diego”?
This question will be asked for the rest of time, even if it becomes more of a pipe dream every day.
The Chargers belong in San Diego. It’s just a shame that because the team couldn’t get a new stadium in that city, Spanos moved them out. Now, Qualcomm Stadium just sits empty on Sundays while games are being played all over the country.
It’s rough for fans in the city of San Diego who now have only the Padres for a professional sports team. For the eighth-largest city in the country in terms of population, that is ludicrous. The short-lived Alliance of American Football tried to give them something by bringing the San Diego Fleet to town, but that only lasted a few games.
But even if that league flourished, it’s just not that same. The Chargers should be there and everyone knows it. When a fan describes how heartbroken they were when the team moved, it’s hard to even know what to say in response. You definitely feel for those, many of which swore off the NFL forever.
If you ever start to talk to a Chargers fan, at least one who has cheered on the team for more than a few years, you will almost certainly hear something about the city they spent 55 seasons in.
Will the Chargers ever go back to San Diego? Never say never.
