Chargers: Injury impact analysis

Denver Broncos Injury Impact: 5

Missing Chubb is a significant loss for this Broncos defense. A rush with two stellar players helps each individual get to the quarterback, as one rusher cannot be doubled without allowing a one-on-one opportunity for the other.

Furthermore, the continued absence of Callahan should allow the Chargers to take advantage of the cornerbacks further down the Broncos depth chart.

Los Angeles Chargers Injury Impact: 8.5

Ingram’s absence will surely be felt, but it helps that his backup is Nwosu. While the receiving corps is still hurting, the news that Williams is likely to play helps mitigate the losses at receiver. The secondary is still not the same without  James, but both starting corners are finally healthy at the same time.

This Chargers team appears healthy enough in this game to beat the Denver Broncos. As long as they are able to avoid shooting themselves in the foot again, they should be able to overcome the injury obstacles.
