Los Angeles Chargers bubble players who need to perform well against Saints

Jatavis Brown
The Chargers are loaded at linebacker and Brown has dealt with injuries this offseason. Is there still room for him on this team?
After his rookie season, in which he put up 79 tackles and 3.5 sacks, it seemed he would be a solid piece of the team’s defense for years to come. That could still happen, but now the team has a bevy of other linebackers on the roster with him.
Thomas Davis, Denzel Perryman, Uchenna Nwosu, Kyzir White, Drue Tranquill, Emeke Egbule and Nick Dzubnar are all on the roster. Brown will likely still make it, but he could be buried on the depth chart behind those names.

Brown is coming off a season in which he posted a career-high 97 tackles. He is supremely athletic and can make plays all over the field. He also is more familiar with Gus Bradley’s system than guys like Tranquill and Egbule, two incoming rookies.
Still, Brown will need to show it on the field and after recently coming off the physically unable to perform list, he needs to get into the action against the Saints and make some plays.
