3. Who will step up at wide receiver?

During the offseason, the Chargers lost Tyrell Williams, a dynamic No.3 option for the team, to free agency. That immediately opened the question of which player would fill his shoes.

Because the Chargers have Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, Travis Benjamin and a returning Hunter Henry, it may not seem like the Chargers need much more in the passing game. But having depth at every position is key for the teams that make it deep into the postseason, and there is plenty of room for a player to step out of the shadows at wide receiver.

Many thought last year’s sixth-round pick, Dylan Cantrell, would slide into a supporting role. But shortly into camp, the team chose to let him go.

So which player will make the plays during the preseason that helps convince the team to not only put him on the 53-man roster, but also call his number as the season progresses. Geremy Davis, Artavis Scott, Andre Patton and Jason Moore have the best shot at getting this spot, and it might be more than one of them.

Entering preseason action, these four players are likely on the same playing field and it will be interesting to see which guy (or guys) emerges from the pack.
