Los Angeles Chargers: 3 players who could prove to be tough roster cuts
The Los Angeles Chargers will open their training camp in less than three weeks. That is when the process of creating the 53-man roster truly begins.
The Chargers have a good idea of which players are going to make the team as of right now, but there is still a handful of fringe players that will require as much evaluation as possible which will likely go all the way down to the last preseason game.
Each year, teams around the league have tough decisions to make in regards to players that they really don’t want to part ways with. When the roster limit is 53 players, cutting talented professionals is an unfortunate truth for every team.
But players can hang around an organization by putting forth their best effort during camp and preseason games, whether that be as part of the team’s practice squad or by being kept in the back of the team’s mind if and when a new opportunity might present itself.
Looking at the roster of the Chargers, there are several players that the team will have a tough time moving on from before the season starts. Here are three players that fit that bill and could even squeeze onto the final roster.
