Los Angeles Chargers: 6 most underrated players in team history
The Los Angeles Chargers have a long and storied history that dates back to the early 1960s. In that time, numerous players have chipped in to help the franchise achieve the success it has seen.
It’s easy to talk about the great players and the players that have put up the biggest numbers and set the most records. But just like in any football game or any championship run, it takes a complete team to reach the very top.
Often times, role players on a Super Bowl roster are overshadowed by the big names and the colorful personalities. But in the grand scheme of things and in the history of each team, those role players deserve to be recognized as well.
The Chargers have had many unsung heroes over the years and in fact, there are too many of them to list. But here, that list has been pared down to six. These six players are the most underrated players in the history of the Chargers.
This list includes several running backs, but it also includes players from each unit on the team. These players were chosen for their contributions over the years and each player on this list was considered for the top 30 players in franchise history that I put out earlier this year.
