5 moves Chargers can make to play in Super Bowl 54

Re-sign Adrian Phillips
It took Adrian Phillips bouncing from the active roster to the practice squad and back multiple times before he showed he could be a force in the NFL, but he became a force in 2018 after a terrific season, one that finished with a selection to the Pro Bowl.
He registered a career-high 94 tackles this past season to go along with one interception while breaking up nine passes. He also put together a terrific performance in the Chargers’ Wild Card round win over the Baltimore Ravens.
After signing a one-year contract with the team this past offseason, Phillips is set to become an unrestricted free agent and there could be teams lining up, looking to cash in on the momentum of Phillips’ recent season.
Telesco can’t allow that to happen.
Instead, he needs to lock the soon-to-be 27-year old safety down with a long-term contract, one which rewards Phillips for his strong season while also keeping him on the roster for the foreseeable future.
With the uncertainty at safety behind Phillips (many fans would like to see the team move on from Jahleel Addae), Telesco can’t let this guy get away.
