Week 12 vs. Arizona Cardinals
This is one of the easier games on the Chargers’ schedule, at least on paper.
The Cardinals have a new head coach and at this point in the season, will likely have turned to first-round pick Josh Rosen in order to see what the team’s future looks like behind him. That is a situation in which this Chargers defense should feast.

The Chargers lead the all-time series 9-4, but the Cardinals beat them in the most recent meeting, the season opener of the 2014 season. In that game, the Chargers took a 17-6 lead into the fourth quarter before falling to a late Cardinals rally.
The teams will also meet in the preseason opener on August 11.
But by this point in the season, the Chargers will be aiming for one of the top seeds in the playoffs and the Cardinals will be sitting in the cellar of the NFC West. The Chargers will need to keep the mentality of keeping the proverbial foot on the gas pedal, rather than playing down to the level of an inferior Arizona team.
The Chargers get an easy win before heading into the toughest part of their schedule.
