Week 10 at Oakland Raiders

In our predictions, the Chargers get a comfortable win over the Raiders at home in the first meeting between the teams this season. Can they go into Oakland and beat them just one month later?

Jon Gruden and his team will have had more time to create cohesion by this point in the season and they always play the Chargers tough. The last four games played between these two teams in Oakland have been decided by three points or less, including a one-point game last season.

This could easily be the most difficult game the Chargers face in November and it could be decided by which teams is winning the war on attrition at that point in the season, meaning the team with the least amount of key injuries.

The Chargers are the better team and should go further in 2018, but divisional opponents are always the toughest to put away, so this came should be considered a toss up.

This game will be decided on the last possession, probably by a field goal. Last year, the Chargers blew those chances but in this game, the team is able to kick a late fourth-quarter field goal and then hold off a last-minute effort from a game Derek Carr to preserve a tight victory.

The best teams find a way to win games exactly like this. The Chargers are able to complete a season sweep of the Raiders for the second year in a row.

Prediction: Chargers 23, Raiders 21
