Week 7 vs. Tennessee Titans

This will be an interesting game between a team that made the playoffs last season and a team that many felt should have instead.

It was the Titans that played spoiler last season and knocked the Chargers out of playoff contention. Though the Chargers needed multiple things to take place in order to secure a Wild Card spot, a Titans loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars would have put them in.

The last time these two teams hooked up in November 2016, 78 points were put on the board in a 43-35 Chargers win.

In the first six weeks of the season, the Titans alternate road games and home games, making it tough for them to get into any kind of groove. Going off these predictions, the Chargers would be coming into this game after a loss to the Browns and will be looking to get back on track.

Getting back in the win column while also dealing a blow to the team that prevented them from the playoffs last season would be most satisfying, and it’s something the Chargers won’t waste the opportunity to do.

Prediction: Chargers 27, Titans 16

The Chargers will then head into a well deserved bye week before going on a two-game road trip.

Having a bye week right in the middle of the schedule may prove to be beneficial for the team and if these predictions hold true, a record of 6-2 at the halfway point would put them at or near the top of the AFC West standings.

Overall record prediction through Week 8 of the season: 5-2
