We’ve hit the stretch run. The lights will be bright inside AT&T Stadium on Thursday night as the 2018 NFL draft kicks off. Seven rounds of selections, with 256 players being selected.

The Los Angeles Chargers will make seven of those picks, having a choice in each round, barring trades.

Which direction do they go? Will it be a draft heavy on defense, or has general manager Tom Telesco fallen in love with a quarterback such as Lamar Jackson?

We’ll find out the answers to those questions in a matter of days, but first, I wanted to get you set for the big night with one final mock draft, where I’ll take a stab at predicting the players the team will pick or if nothing else, the positions they’ll be looking to bolster.

Click the link below to check out the mock draft I put out about a month ago to see how much has changed since then.

And now, let’s jump into it. The Chargers are a team on the cusp of a championship run. They have a solid, nearly complete roster that just needs an upgrade here and there to be a real force to deal with. Keeping that in mind, let’s take a look at how the team could (and maybe should) attack this draft.
