Great NFL players can be found in the first round of the NFL draft or the last. It all depends on how well a team does its scouting and of course, there’s probably a little luck involved.

We’re going to have some fun here and look back on some of the best picks ever made by the Los Angeles Chargers in order to form our all-time NFL draft team.

This list will include the best pick ever made in the first round, the best pick ever made in the second round, and so on, all the way through the seven-round process that the league currently uses. Though the draft had more than 30 rounds in the 1960s when the Chargers were a member of the AFL, this list will only include players drafted within the first seven rounds.

The players selected to this team will have had the best overall statistics as well as the biggest impact on the organization of any other player selected in the same round. Starting with the seventh round, the list will go in descending order.

So sit back and enjoy a look at the best players ever selected by the Chargers in each of the seven rounds of the NFL draft.
