OVERALL

It absolutely stings me that the Chargers didn’t make the playoffs after going 9-3 in the last 12 games and being a playoff-worthy team. It also hurts that the playoff drought goes from four to now five years after Sunday. But Sunday’s game and this season as a whole was indicative of something the Chargers haven’t had in years-a step in the right direction. Winning four more games this season in a new city, with a new coach and some new players in the wake of Mike McCoy leaving the team in ruin last season can’t be ignored.

Coach Anthony Lynn and his staff did a great job in 2017, and now we have to see what they’ll do in the offseason to better the team. But this is honestly the most confident I’ve felt about this franchise in a while. We’ll just have to see what happens.

Thanks to all of you who have read my game breakdowns all season. My first season at Bolt Beat has gone really well thanks to you guys. Hope to keep it up in the offseason and next year.
