It seems that for the past several weeks, Gordon’s fantasy scores have been rather inconsistent. After a couple strong performances against the Giants and the Raiders, Gordon had a rough game against the vaunting Denver defense.
Even though Gordon’s performance against the Broncos is a bit discouraging, expect him to bounce back against an easier Patriots’ defense. He remains a must start in Week 8.
Ekeler, who had a rather nice performance against the Broncos, has begun to turn some heads in the fantasy world. With a receiving touchdown and a strong performance in the running game, Ekeler seems to have primed himself for a larger role in the offense.
Ekeler’s performance last week is definitely a reason to pick him up in fantasy leagues, but I wouldn’t be so quick to start him. Gordon remains the feature back, and until something changes otherwise, Ekeler should remain on your bench or the waiver wire.
