The Los Angeles Chargers have not fully recovered from their season-opening loss to the Denver Broncos, but they’re close.

The Chargers came out flat on Monday Night Football in Week 1 at Sports Authority Field, trailing by 17 points entering the fourth quarter. They turned it up a notch and made some plays to get back into the game, but it was too little, too late.

The Chargers lost the game 24-21 after a last-second field goal attempt by Younghoe Koo was blocked. On that play, Denver defensive lineman Shelby Harris pushed past rookie offensive lineman Dan Feeney to get a hand on the kick. It would also help lead to Koo’s eventual release.

The season got off to a rough start but the Chargers have won two games in a row and the Broncos are coming off an embarrassing defeat to the previously winless New York Giants. Suddenly, these teams are going in opposite directions and the Chargers have a chance to deal a huge blow to the Broncos while getting right back in the thick of the race at the same time.

For that to happen, things will need to be a little different this time around. Read on for more.
