Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers face Derek Carr and the Raiders in Oakland in Week 6. Chat with other Chargers fans on the open thread while watching the game.
The Chargers (1-4) could revive their season with a win over the rival Raiders (2-3).
Raiders QB Derek Carr, who’s been dealing with a back injury, missed last week’s game but is back to face the Bolts. The best pass-rushing duo in the league (Melvin Ingram/Joey Bosa) will go up against one of the best offensive lines in the game.
As for the Chargers’ offense, 2017 first-round pick Mike Williams will make his NFL debut! Don’t expect Williams to see a ton of snaps, but the Bolts should use the big-bodied receiver in the red zone and on third downs. Raiders’ first-round pick CB Gareon Conley won’t see the field as he is dealing with shin splints.
Let’s see who is inactive for the Chargers:

With Williams active, receiver Dontrelle Inman is out for Sunday’s game. Inman, who was dealing with a hamstring injury, practiced fully the final two days and was removed from the final injury report. It’s a surprise to see backup running back Branden Oliver (hamstring), who was a full participant in Friday’s practice, inactive against Oakland. Austin Ekeler should see some extra snaps, which isn’t a bad thing whatsoever. Starting right tackle Joseph Barksdale and starting linebacker Jatavis Brown, both of whom were listed as questionable going into the game, are both active.
Let’s see if the Bolts can snap their four-game losing streak against the Raiders and win their second game of the season.
