The Chargers lost seventh-round pick Donovan Clark to a season-ending injury after an impressive first two preseason games, and since, the Chargers haven’t done much to fill the void.
The Chargers have officially signed former Philadelphia Eagles center Bruce Johnson after waiving linebacker Tyler Marcordes to make room on the roster. Johnson was an undrafted free agent the Eagles picked up this past offseason and have cut him from the roster pretty quickly. Not to say that he is a bad player or what not, but we could definitely use his presence for depth since he was a standout starting center for three years when he played for Maine in College.
He might not be a Nick Hardwick, but he definitely has a chance to make the roster if he gives the coaches a great impression for the remainder of the preseason. I predict him to be a practice squad player and he should be able to groom into something better over time.
