The San Diego Chargers added CB Casey Hayward to their roster. With Patrick Robinson gone in free agency, the team decided to add another corner to the roster. Even with Jason Verrett and Brandon Flowers on the team, the Chargers felt that they needed to add a solid corner onto the team.
Hayward and Verrett will be solid corners for the team. The Chargers also lost Eric Weddle in free agency, so the secondary took a hit. The team may add a safety with their pick in the first round to help even more in the secondary. After the additions in free agency, it seems that the Chargers would likely add to their defensive line in the draft or add a tackle with their selection.
Jalen Ramsey seems like a least likely option with the additions to the team, but he still has to be considered with the pick. Ramsey is too good of a prospect and would be a game changer in the secondary. He would start immediately at the safety spot.
