Round 1: Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State
The San Diego Chargers are going to take the best player on the board when it is there turn to make the pick. It could be Laremy Tunsil, but it seems like the Tennessee Titans love that kid and they need someone to help protect their prize. The Cleveland Browns are in need of a quarterback and will get their guy with the 2nd overall selection and that leaves Joey Bosa to fall to the Chargers. Some people don’t like the fit with Bosa on this defense. I don’t like the fit with Bosa under John Pagano. I just hate John Pagano all the way around, but we keep giving that cat a job.
Bosa is the most dominant defensive lineman coming out of this draft and would cause havoc on defense. Let him chase after the quarterback and he will get there. Put him on the edge and he will set it. You can’t pass on his talent if he is available with the 3rd selection. He will be able to produce wherever you place him on the field. Just get him on the field.
We have struggled to put pressure on quarterbacks and we saw how Von Miller was able to dominate the Super Bowl this year. The Denver defense was relentless and put pressure on Cam Newton left and right. We need to have those type of players on defense. Bosa would give this team a solid pass rusher and would free up other players on the defensive front to make plays.
