Mike McCoy is going to keep Malcom Floyd on the roster like he has with a number of players and hope that he will be back on the field this season to play some football. Floyd is working hard to get back on the field, but that does not mean that he will get to the field. We have seen it a number of times with McCoy and Telesco calling the shots on the roster where we keep a player on the roster for a few weeks and they eventually hit the IR list.
Mike McCoy said Malcom Floyd is "working extremely hard" to play again this season. Chargers WR suffered torn labrum vs. Bears in Week 9.

Malcom Floyd said that this would be his last season in the league. He faced a career threatening neck injury a couple of seasons ago and was able to get back onto the field for the last couple of seasons, but he may have played his last game with the Chargers. He is a fan favorite and has always put in the work.
Floyd put in the work to make the team as an undrafted free agent and came up from the practice squad to become a solid starter on the roster. He can be an inspiration to a number of the young players on the roster.
We all hope that we will see Malcom one more time before his career is over . We just need to see his sticky hands make a few more catches before he calls it done.
