Donald Brown has been released… Finally.
Charger Fans prayers have been answered…. a useless & expensive running back, Donald Brown, has been cut by the San Diego Chargers. He was brought in as an insurance plan for Ryan Mathews, but was anything but.
He hasn’t even been activated this season with Gordon, Woodhead, and Oliver ahead of him, he was just dead weight. Blocking more useful players from the roster.
There isn’t a whole lot to say about this move, other than it makes total sense, and that it frees up a roster spot for a team that has 12 players on the injury report. This includes five offensive lineman, and 8 starters.
Consider this Telesco admitting he was wrong. Let’s hope that this trend continues, across the board.
P.S. – Mike Scifres is happy somewhere right now… or maybe just not as nervous.
