What should the Chargers do up front on offense?

The signing of center JD Walton seems very interesting. It was an interesting move by the San Diego Chargers front office. Does this mean that Chris Watt’s job is up for grabs? Walton has started in all 52 games that he has appeared in. He was the starting center for the Denver Broncos for his first 3 seasons in the league before he suffered an ankle injury. Head Coach Mike McCoy should know him well since he was the starter when he was the offensive coordinator in town.

Could the Chargers be making some moves up front on the offensive line? The experiments that we are working with up front are not working and the process of getting everyone up to speed is going to get Philip Rivers killed. Philip was taking a beating on Sunday and we all had a sigh of relief when they took him off of the field.

Can we trust Chris Watt as a center? Should he go to his natural position at guard? If we were to start Walton, then Watt could move over to the right guard position and then the team can figure out if DJ Fluker or Joe Barksdale should be the starter at right tackle. At least we would have players playing at their natural position.

I was one of the people that thought moving Fluker inside would be a good move. It is still very early in his transition to the right guard spot, but are we willing to live with the growing pains?

What should the Chargers do up front with the offensive line now?
