San Diego Chargers fans are talking about the DJ Fluker injury from this weekend’s game against the Detroit Lions. He is going to be out for 4-6 weeks with the ankle injury, but he will get back on the field. That is a huge relief. Everyone had their worst fears when they saw him barely able to lift his own weight and when he was taken off of the field on a cart.

Another injury that the team suffered was in the secondary and not many people have talked about his injury. Jahleel Addae left the game in a walking boot after this play:

How long will Addae be out with his injury. He didn’t get back on the field after the play and Jimmy Wilson took over for him to close out the game. Darrell Stuckey even received some playing time at safety because of the injury.

The Chargers only have 4 safeties on the roster and an injury that keeps Addae off of the field for a significant amount of time could result in a roster move. Rookie Craig Mager could see some time at the safety position if we really needed the help at the position. The depth is getting stretched around in a few areas at the moment though. This team might need to release a tight end again in order to make room for an offensive lineman or a player in the secondary.
