For some reason, Manti Te’o has not been practicing for the last couple of days with some sort of an injury. He has been sitting on the sideline for the Chargers and it seems that he will sit out the game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Chargers ILB Manti Te'o isn't practicing. May be held out against Seahawks, with Denzel Perryman getting a good look.

I am not sure what the injury is at this point. The only news on the injury that we have heard is that it is not on his foot. At least we know that it is not the foot that is slowing him down like it had been in the past few seasons. What could be slowing him down this time though?

Te’o is a key player for the Chargers in the middle of the defense. He has shown improvement each of his first two seasons and was ready to break out this year. We don’t even know the extent of the injury for Te’o and that seems sa little scary. When Te’o first broke his foot, it was a mystery for the world as well and we didn’t find out till much later that he was dealing with that issue.

The Chargers are prepped at the middle linebacker position after drafting Denzel Perryman in the 2nd round. He will come in and get some reps with the first team against the Seattle Seahawks. It will be a good chance for the rookie to pick up some valuable experience against one of the top teams in the game.
