We get to preseason and we just want to get to the regular season without any major injuries. The San Diego Chargers faced off against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night and were not able to avoid the injury bug. The team will be without LB Tourek Williams for a while. Williams left the game on crutches and his foot in a cast . The latest word from this morning says that he has a broken foot that requires surgery.

That should keep Williams out for some time and the depth at his position was already thin. Williams had been touted as one of the most improved players on the roster, but he will not get a chance to see the field for the rest of preseason and will likely be out for the first few weeks of the regular season. Will he even get back to the field this season?
What will the team do for the depth at the position now? They will likely need to look in free agency to find some depth for the position. They likely were going to do that anyway with Williams on the roster.
Without Williams available, someone on the roster will have to step their game up and produce. There are a couple of players that made a mark on Thursday and could get a lot more playing time. We will all have our eyes on Kyle Emanuel even more now.
