Predicting the Chargers 2nd Pick – Version 1

The voting was too close to pick a clear winner for the Chargers first selection.  So, I came up with a brilliant idea – we are going to do two side by side mocks.  One with Gordon taken in the first round and a second with Brown taken in the first round.  Then on Wednesday we will put up a poll between both mocks to select the one we send to TT and Co. the morning of the draft.

Congratulations Chargers on selecting Melvin Gordon with the 17th pick of the draft!  In 2014 he carried the ball 343 times for the Badgers amassing 2,587 yards with a 7.5 average (that is not a typo) while scoring 29 touchdowns.  He was the runner up to Mariota in the Heisman voting.  He held the single game rushing record with 408 yards in a game.  He ran for 251 yards in an overtime win in the Outback Bowl and was named MVP.

This guy is going to be a superstar for your Chargers and fills the need of an every down back who can run between the tackles.

But before you spend too much time patting yourselves on the back, its time to make your second selection.
