Tom Telesco declines to respond to Tennessee question

San Diego Chargers GM Tom Telesco declined to respond to questions about a possible trade with the Tennessee Titans. 

Tom Telesco agreed to talk to the media before the draft and he was one brave soul knowing that the focus would be around Marcus Mariota and Philip Rivers. Telesco said that the intent for the Chargers is to go with Philip Rivers well into the future.

Telesco being very clear. "Intent and plan" is to keep Rivers as franchise quarterback. He's leaving himself an out. Plans can change.

That has always been the plan and intent, but when he was asked about the possible trade with the Tennessee Titnas that has been mentioned over and over again, he declined to answer the question:

Why wouldn’t Telesco answer the question? It seems like a simple yes or no answer and he skipped right around it. All he had to do was say “No, we have not had any discussions with the Titans about a trade involving Philip Rivers.” DONE. We can all go to bed knowing that Philip would be the quarterback for next season, but he left an opening and really didn’t want to respond to that question. The talk will only continue to roll since he could not deny the trade.

Telesco did say that he would be as honest as he could be.

Since he was being honest and couldn’t respond with a “no”, then tjis speculation just will not die. A simple NO would have laid it down to rest for a little bit, but Tommy T. could not give us that satisfaction. What will the plan be for the Chargers be when they head into the NFL Draft and the Titans are selecting with the possibility of adding Marcus Mariota there? What will we do?  Has Tommy T. been talking to the Titans?
