Chargers Schedule 2015: San Diego lands 4 prime time games

The San Diego Chargers will play in 4 prime time games in the 2015 season.

The San Diego Chargers will play 4 of their games in prime time in the 2015 season. This year, they will not open up the season on Monday Night Football. It seems like they have started with the 2nd game in the double header the last few seasons. I hated waiting till the last game of the year to see our team play some football.

This year the team will open up against the Detroit Lions at home. The Chargers will host a Monday Night game against Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 5 of the season. The Chargers will also host a Monday Night Football game against Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears in Week 9 of the season. Following that game against the Bears, the team will get a BYE week.

When the team returns from the BYE week, they will host a Sunday Night Football game in week 11 against the division rival Kansas City Chiefs.

The only away prime time game is against the rival Oakland Raiders on Christmas Eve for Thursday Night Football.

It should be fun to see all the prime time games in San Diego this year. Could this be the last prime time games we see in San Diego? Is that why they gave us all the prime time games at home?
