Dec 5, 2014; Santa Clara, CA, USA; Oregon Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota (8) celebrates after scoring on a 7-yard touchdown run in the second quarter against the Arizona Wildcats in the Pac-12 Championship at Levi

Scenario Two – The Tennessee Takeaway The Chargers become so enamored with Mariota that they lose their minds.  They have a vision that Mariota is the second coming of Joe Montana and decide to sell the farm for him.  They give up PR and our 1st round pick for this dream QB, because they can’t possibly imagine a future without him.  Unfortunately this would leave us without any further upgrades to the O-Line and D-line and our streak of mediocrity would continue.

Why this won’t happen – Because it’s the Chargers.  The Chargers do not make high risk moves.  TT does not make high risk moves.  Take the sure thing.  Slow and steady.  Build the depth.  Those are our principles.
