Offensive line

Johnnie Troutman is the current starter at right guard and he had some struggles last season up front. The team could find an upgrade at the spot and with all the versatility up front from the current San Diego Chargers starters, the team could add a player at any position up front.

Many people believe that the team would be best suited at adding a top tackle onto the roster to allow D.J. Fluker to slide inside on the right side. Fluker would take the starting right guard job and the new tackle could handle the spot that was vacated by Fluker.

If the team wants to take a tackle, they likely would use their first round selection to upgrade at the position. If the team focuses in on bringing in a top guard, they could look for someone in the 2nd or 3rd round. The Chargers have been busy meeting up with all the different offensive linemen and will add someone to compete for a starting role.

Troutman won’t be the worst solution at the position, but we saw him work at the position during the season.
