Eddie Royal appears to have signed with the Chicago Bears as free agency opens up.
Twitter is all over the place with the news in free agency at the moment. It seems like Eddie Royal is signing with the Chicago Bears, but then Michael Gehlken says that those reports are not true. At least they are not true yet.
Report that WR Eddie Royal is headed to Bears "not true," league source says. We'll see what develops.

Remember when we signed Royal onto the team? It looked like he had signed with the Washington Redskins at first, but then we ended up picking him up after that confusion. There is a possibility that Royal is still available, but the team will need to find another solution if Royal is really headed out of town.
Royal loved playing with Jay Cutler. It looks like they could be teammates again in Chicago.
Who will the Chargers find to fill his roster spot? It will be something that the team will need to figure out. Royal took less money to stick around on the roster last season, but he was looking for his payday after having another great season with Philip Rivers as his quarterback.
The Chargers will be looking for a new receiver to join the team. Malcom Floyd and Keenan Allen won’t be able to carry the whole load in the passing game. The team needs to find someone that they can add at receiver. Dwayne Bowe doesn’t look like a bad option to some of you anymore.
