The San Diego Chargers have a big decision coming up in regards to who they are going to have as their true feature running back. With Danny Woodhead and Branden Oliver as change of pace backs and Donald Brown a pass protection specialist, the team needs to decide who will be their true between the tackles rusher. So who will it be? Here are some options.
Set to hit free agency, Mathews will have a decent sized market based upon his talent and intangibles alone. The biggest question mark is his durability. Can he stay healthy for 16 games which he has only done once in his career. However, he went to the pro bowl that year after rushing for 1,255 yards with 4.4 yards per carry average.
So if not Mathews, then who?
