Gordon continues to impress while Abdullah climbs draft boards

Melvin Gordon can run. As if scouts and teams didn’t already know. He posted the 5th fastest time in the 40 yard dash among running backs with a 4.52. His stride is open and he looks ready to carry the load at the next level. The record-breaking elite rusher is currently projected to go in the top 20 picks.

Ameer Abdullah is having arguably the best combine of any running back. Although his 40 yard dash time was an unimpressive 4.60, he has shown great hands and footwork throughout the drills. With a 42.5 inch vertical, he has lower body explosion to compliment his quickness. He is a high character kid who will work as a versatile back for the team willing to invest an early pick in him.

cont … "#4 Ameer Abdullah, Nebraska – tremendous attitude and football instinct. Could be the next Darren Sproles."
